OPUS International Conference - OPUS organizes the Annual International Conference ‘Organisational & Social Dynamics’, which is a well regarded and valued learning event. The outline frame for the Conference is the same as that for the International Journal ‘Organisational & Social Dynamics: International Perspectives from Group Relations, Psychoanalysis and Systems Theory’. The two day Conference provides an opportunity for innovative and fresh thinking in the field of organisational and social dynamics and we encourage contributors to take this approach. We welcome papers which constitute work in progress; that is, papers that contributors are using as a means of seeking to open up discussion on new thinking and new approaches to understanding organisational and social dynamics. We want to create a reflective culture. Or to put it in the terms of the aims of OPUS we want to encourage the reflective citizen. The format of the Conference is that on each of the two days there is a Keynote paper in the first Session, followed in the next Session, by a facilitated Discussion Group which is intended to take the thinking of the paper forward through a reflective process. The afternoons consist of two Sessions of parallel papers. These derive from a Call for Papers and a selection based on academic and appropriate content. We select up to twenty four papers which provides members with a selection of six papers in each Session. Dates for future years are decided well in advance to enable early planning and diary noting. Details of Call for Papers and information about the current Conference are sent by email via an extensive database. Should you wish to be included on this email list, please contact the Conference Administrator. For information about the next International Conference please contact the Conference Administrator.
