“Group Relations, Organizational
Consultancy and Coaching —
Rivals or Partners”

The Eric Miller Annual Memorial Lecture
will be presented
by

ANTON OBHOLZER

Anton is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst and former chief executive of the Tavistock and Portman Clinics. He was founder of the Tavistock Clinic consulting to institutions workshop, has long standing involvement in the group relations field both in the UK and internationally and is presently a senior member of the Global Strategic Leadership Centre at the Insead Business School in France.

This presentation will focus on the interrelationship of the Tavistock Group Relations Model, the long standing tradition of consulting to institutions and the increasingly popular practice of coaching. The question is often asked whether these three elements are complementary or not, and either way, how they interrelate. This paper, with examples from the relevant fields, will focus on some of these issues as they relate to present day opportunities in the commercial field and to application in the wider social setting. It is hoped that this presentation will give an opportunity for a robust and constructive discussion with a steer to the future from those present.

The Lecture will formally end at 2:00pm, after which you are cordially invitedto join our guests for drinks and snacks until 3:00pm.

Fee £30 (includes wine and snacks).
