Explorations of Leadership and Creativity in Problem-Solving In these truly turbulent times, change is a constant problem for all. One of the affects of such change is that it creates a tremendous amount of uncertainty and anxiety and makes huge demands on leaders and managers who are expected to be creative in finding solutions for the changes required. It is, therefore, important that we should understand something of the processes of leadership and creativity as they affect problem-solving so that we may more effectively manage some of the situations that may be occurring within our organisation. The aim of this Workshop is to provide members with an opportunity to explore some of the dynamics associated with the role of leadership and the process of creativity as it occurs in problem-solving. At the end of the Workshop it is anticipated that members should have a better understanding of:
In the Workshop we shall largely be working with problems identified by the members and their own experiences as they develop over the two days of the Workshop and applying that experience to theory. Working in this manner means that there is a direct application of learning to the work place. To provide the right dynamics and the maximum opportunities for learning, the Workshop is ideally suited for ten people. Course Leader: Dr Lionel F Stapley.
