Leading and Consulting in the Third Sector: navigating complexity and vulnerability

Never before has there been a more critical time in our organisations. The global pandemic has forced us to adapt to new ways of working. Digitalisation & remote working have blended home & work in unprecedented ways, adding both pleasure and pain to our experiences.
The workshop aims to challenge participants to explore what the “new normal” requires in terms of leadership and system-working in times of radical uncertainty. The afternoon consists of presentations, small group discussion, and application groups.
The workshop is especially helpful for third sector leaders, managers and consultants.
Julie Marshall is a current CEO of a third sector charity and an organisational consultant. Having worked in public, private and voluntary sectors at senior levels, Julie is an experienced leader, who is now brining her leadership expertise into consulting to leaders and teams. She is particularly interested in the function/perceived effectiveness of leadership and its interplay with power & containment.
Roisin Stewart is a current Director of a third sector children’s charity and an organisational consultant. She has worked predominantly in the health and social care sector and has extensive experience in leadership roles. She is interested in the challenges of leadership, organisational group dynamics and management consultancy.
